Ours began in 1832, when a settlement destined to become New Hamburg formed. As businesses, families and the community grew, our namesake Peel St. helped to lay the groundwork of all that was to come.
Since the beginning, Peel St. has welcomed friends, family, and visitors to our community. It’s the path traveled to get to school, a meeting point for friends, and the place neighbours gathered to say ‘hello’. Peel St. has always been a part of New Hamburg's history and we couldn’t be prouder to share its name and honour its legacy.
